Sound Transit is excited to announce that they have partnered with WSDOT on a Capacity Building Mentorship Program starting in April 2019. This is a re-launch of WSDOT’s Mentor/Protégé Program which began in July 2018.
The Capacity Building Mentorship Program’s intent is to foster a more competitive environment for project delivery by building a broader base of certified Minority, Small, Veteran, and Women Business Enterprises (MSVWBE), and disadvantaged businesses that are able to perform work on transportation-related projects.
They are seeking successful prime contractor and consultants and diverse businesses to participate in this program. The Capacity Building Mentorship Program will pair businesses in an effort to increase their capacity and participation on projects. To participate as a Mentor, you must have been a prime contractor or consultant with WSDOT or Sound Transit in the recent past. If you are interested in participating, please email email@example.com or visit www.mentorprotegeprogram.info.
On Friday, April 12th WSDOT and Sound Transit will host a networking and outreach event for previous Cohorts 1 and 2, as well as, soliciting interest for Cohort 3. Refer to the launch attachment for event details.
