Description

 

POSITION SUMMARY: This position focuses on the emotional needs and concerns of Washington state residents. The phone support specialist focuses on acknowledgement, the peer perspective and brings supportive contact to the work of the Covid-19 Support line.

The Phone Support Specialist will provide positive experiences for the callers, offering peer to peer support, community based referrals and information to callers utilizing the Washington Listens Line.

This position works as a phone worker 100% of the time.

This position is a remote(virtual) position.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED:

  • Professional phone demeanor
  • A minimum of 1-year customer service experience is preferred
  • High speed internet required
  • Ability to type 40 wpm
  • Successful Completion of Disaster Training provided by FEMA & Crisis Connections
  • Preferred:  Minimum of 21 years of age

POSITION REPORTS TO: Washington Listens Program Manager

HOURS of OPERATION:

Mon-Fri     9a-9p

Sat – Sun   9a-6p

COMPENSATION:      TBD

STATUS:  Temporary. Initial assignment 60-90 days; May be extended 6-9 months

Up to 40 hours per week/Part-time and Full-Time positions available
