KITSAP TRANSIT

NOTICE OF DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS ENTERPRISE GOAL

(Federal Fiscal Years 2021 – 2023)

Kitsap Transit is hereby publishing notice of its Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal for fiscal years 2021 through 2023 of two point nine two percent (2.92%) DBE participation in Kitsap Transit federally funded contracting activities.  The intent of the goal is to promote an environment of equal opportunity for local, certified DBEs to participate in Kitsap Transit’s federally funded contracting activities.  The goal is an aspirational goal representative of the number of ready, willing, able and certified DBEs in the local market.

The Kitsap Transit Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on the proposed goal for DBE contracting in the federal fiscal years 2021 through 2023 on July 7, 2020 at 8:30AM or as soon thereafter, at the Norm Dicks Government Center, 345 Sixth Street, Bremerton WA.  Pursuant to Governor Inslee’s “Stay Home, Stay Healthy” proclamation, if in person meetings remain impermissible, Kitsap Transit will hold a virtual meeting. Information and attendance instructions will be posted with the July 7, 2020 Board of Commissioners Meeting Agenda and will be available on Kitsap Transit’s website at www.kitsaptransit.com.

A public comment period is established between June 1, 2020 and July 3, 2020.
