DES seeks Procurement Specialist
What you’ll be doing
You’ll report to the Technology Leasing Services Manager and interact with a wide range of people inside and outside DES. Inside DES you’ll routinely interact with Technology Leasing Services team members, as well as managers and staff from Contracts, General Ledger, Budget, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. Outside DES you’ll frequently interact with IT staff and managers of other state agencies, major IT equipment manufacturers (Microsoft, Dell, Lenovo, CISCO, etc.), authorized resellers, and contractors who provide IT services.
You’ll be responsible for planning, coordinating, and performing procurement projects for technology equipment and related services on behalf of client agencies, institutions, colleges or universities in accordance with state laws and requirements using the appropriate state master contract and Participating Addendum to purchase the equipment. This includes maintaining accurate records for customer billing, monitoring vendor invoices for accounts payable and coordinating with the Finance Division General Ledger team on obtaining Certificate of Participation funding.
You’ll obtain price quotes from vendors and create lease quotes for customers. You’ll also maintain accurate records for customer billing, monitor vendor invoices for accounts payable and coordinate with the DES General Ledger team to acquire Certificate of Participation funding.
