Project Title:  Relocate and Setup Portable Classrooms at Multiple School Sites

Sealed Bids will be received by Seattle Public Schools (“SPS” or “Owner”) through and including

10:00 a.m. on January 10, 2018 at the Seattle Public Schools’ John Stanford Center, Contracting Services Section, 2445 Third Avenue South, Seattle, WA  98134 for the Relocation and Setup of Portable Classrooms at Multiple School Sites.  The work will include, but not be limited to, providing relocation and setup of the District’s existing-inventory portable classroom buildings to and from multiple school sites for school use beginning in September 2018.  The District requires existing portables be broken down, transported and re-installed at multiple school sites and secured to new foundations, including furnishing and installing entry ramps compliant with ADA regulations.  The cost range is $300,000 to $400,000.  Shortly after 10:00 a.m. bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.  Bids received after the day and hour stated above will not receive consideration.  Owner reserves the right to postpone the Bid opening.


A pre-bid meeting will be held at 11:00 a.m. on December 11, 2017, at the District’s Central Office, John Stanford Center located at 2445 3rd Avenue South, Seattle WA 98134.  Please sign-in at the first floor Reception area approximately 15 minutes before the start of the meeting.  Any questions relating to the project or this advertisement should be directed to Contracting Services, (206) 252-0566.
The Project sites are currently available for inspection by prospective bidders; check in at the main office of the respective schools.

A surety company bid bond on a form acceptable to Owner, a cashier’s check or a certified check payable to the order of Seattle Public Schools shall accompany each bid in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the Base Bid.  The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received.
No bidder may withdraw its bid after the hour set for the opening thereof, unless the award of the contract
is delayed for a period exceeding ninety (90) days.

General contractors may pick up a maximum of one complete set of Bidding Documents between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.  The cost of additional sets of bid documents will be the Contractors responsibility.  Individual sheets can be ordered for the cost of printing from the reprographic outlet.
